Thanks for the kind words Lucas!

You have good ears. That is indeed an electric upright on the recording. Our bassist, Bob Strickland, generally plays a (gorgeous) acoustic, but it was in the shop when we did that demo. And I stress the word DEMO. We did the best we could given the limitations of the instrument.

We have originals, they're just not recorded yet. We had to start someplace! You'll hear originals and classica exotica during our Hukilau sets!

You are welcome! I am loving it so far! Refreshing to hear a band where they are actually using jazz style chords. A person starts to get a little tired of basic chords sometimes.
Yeah, I kind of figured it was an EUB being used. I almost bought one once, (seduced by the ease of transportation) but I am glad Lucky Designs talked me out of it. I started electric and upright bass around the same time (age 12), but only got back into upright in the last 5 years or so. It does make a huge difference, in feel, sound, attitude. It's worth destroying the inside of my little car for!
Hey, you guys are going to be at Hukilau. I think that one of my bands might be too, but I have to check on that. If so, we could go bouncing?
