I repeatedly mentioned that it is hard nowadays to imagine what a non-existing entity Tiki was in the 90s, and how, consequently, exciting and rare it was to find a Tiki object -or even find the name mentioned somewhere. Different from today ...but then again, only for those who are looking, for many folks it still does not exist today. And even for the seasoned Tiki archeologist new, unseen finds surface from time to time. Yet I was always hesitant to seek absolute completion and perfection (a la kohalacharms?), which might be satisfying initially, but ultimately leave no hope for remaining discoveries, and no room for imagination.
