Opinion on replacing Pernod with Absynth - Tiki Drinks and Food

Also, in Dick Santiago's notepad, it was spelled "absainthe" - not sure if this was a typo, the way they spelled absinthe back then or the correct spelling of one of the absinthe substitutes. In any case, I, like probably many of you, have a huge bottle of Pernod that will last for years, so I usually spend my ducats replacing rum, which for some reason doesn't seem to last as long.
