You have an original Hildebrandt? I am absolutely chartreuse...

Well, don't get TOO excited - what I have is this:

Greg Hildebrandt (without Tim) did a series of about 24 pin up paintings a few years ago. He did a really nice job on them, they really evoke 1940s pulp covers or scenes from film noir very well. So much modern pin up art tries to look retro and fails miserably, but ol' Greg did a fine job. He totally nailed just about all of them in fact.

Anyway, this series of paintings sold for about $40K each... way, way, way out of my budget. BUT, the studies he did for the paintings sold for quite a reasonable price, so I picked up not one, but two of them. So I have, essentially, two of his 'rough drafts', not in color, for the final paintings. But they're still gorgeous. And they're still orginial works by Hildebrandt.

Come-on-a my place some time and I'll show you those, and my prints and my etchings, my dear...

Or you can check out the final paintings at Greg's web site / on-line store:

-make sure you get that whole link, through the .asp part.

(okay, there's a plug for SOMEONE ELSE - happy, Ahilava? :) ).
