wanted to go for something from the BOT, so went for the good old SB. Was pretty far into it and didn't like his face. Ground it all down to flat face, and started over. Went pretty far and later didn't like his lips. ground those off and then carved new ones and glued them into place. (lip transplant). Turned out ok. This time I used a angle grinder with a Lancelot wheel on it, to take off lots of wood quick. Worked pretty well. It's like a chain saw on a grinding wheel. Wheel and new lips shown in first pic below. Had a lot of fun carving this one.

Carved from a pine log I brough home from camping (beetle kill). Debarked and trimed down to size with chain saw. Lancelot for rough out, die grinder with HF burrs for medium shaping, dremel for fine detail. Also used sand wheel flaps on the angle grinder for rough sanding.

He seems to be happy living on my bar.
