Well I'll tell you, there is nothing here to be ashamed of, they are All excellent and I Love how you are getting a Beautiful smoothe finish,, Well done. Your skills are getting better with each carve now just work more into the traditional tiki like the SB and you'll REALLY be looking Great.
Now down to the Safety thing! I saw your Lancelot but not sure I saw the Safety guard on the unit or not placed properly! Forgive me if I am mistaken as only a part of the tool is visible. I Know the guard gets in the way and you are sure you can control it, BUT, Without the guard in place, TERRIBLE Things are Waiting to happen. (see a previous Lancelot Disaster on ABC's Sunday night home renovation show. The carpenter almost lost his hand because the guard"Was In The WAY". If it is not in place, Please attach it!
IF you want to make the Lancelot Safer and more controllable, get a Router Speed control unit and slow it down. You will be Amazed at how much more comfortable it will be to use. You can get it HERE and DON'T use the cheap one from here or Harbor freight tools, they have no torque and will bog the grinder down considerably. It is great for other toools too loke die grinders, sanders and other brushless tools
.
OK, Continue your great carvings!
