Tiki Central / General Tiki / Tiki Bar ???

We went for a "classier" look in our Tiki bar and what it really came down to was avoiding cheap and/or cheap-looking items that are the focal point of the room. Our bar is not bamboo, but dark wood with a black stone top. The stools are hand carved. The fan blades aren't dingy rattan. Once you have that, no amount of black velvet, coconut monkeys, or other Tiki clutter will bring it down.

I'm especially fond of the bisto table in the second picture. It really gave the room what it needed. And it's perfect for relaxing with a glass of rum after a hard day anywhere.
