The angled wheels are a side effect of lowering a car with independent rear suspension. It can't be good for the tires. Simply put, on a car with IRS each rear wheel pivots up and down separately from a fixed point at the center of the vehicle, so that's the - probably unintended - look you get when you lower it. I could go into more detail but that's probably too off topic.

BTW, that bug is waay cool!
