As a collector of several thousand mid-century Matchbooks-mostly Vegas, Hollywood, Route 66, Googie, & Tiki I will never trade or purchase match-covers. I only collect pristine full matchbooks with no strikes. The sole exception: I bought a ton of tiki match-covers years ago from some cat who had a Kon Tiki collection. Matchbooks IMHO are the only way to go. I went to casino shows, garage sales and got the best stash ever from a guy with an ad in the LA Recycler back in '95-he literally had first edition Sands Hotel matchbooks, along with Kelbos, etc.
