Well...as harsh as the reality may be, and as inevitable as things may seem, doing nothing is worse in my opinion. Monkeyman, you are probably right, but I can't just say "Oh well"...it's not my nature. TomSlick, Of course starting at the top is better, but it's a bridge to nowhere, as the land owner bought the land to knock it down and put up condos. No point in speaking to him. As far as I can see, the longer that inevitable fate is delayed, the better for all of us. In the slim chance that the restaurant succeeds, it may be just easier for the land owner to just collect rent on it, and forego selling , than dealing with the huge hassle of building on that land. Either way, no throwing in the towel for me yet. As far as what you can do. Writing an email is all I was asking for. No grand gestures or money, just a few words to encourage the original owners' son to preserve his dad's legacy. As tiki preservationists, I think it's not much to ask for.
