From the 1972 TV Bartender's Guide:

Black Stripe
2 maraschino cherries
1 teaspoon honey
Boiling water
2 whole cloves
1 stick cinnamon
1 oz. Jamaica rum
1/4 oz. 151-proof rum

Crush cherries in bottom of a Trader Vic's skull mug or a heat-proof glass. Add honey and hot water to fill; stir. Add Jamaica rum, cloves, and cinnamon. Float 151-proof rum. Flame.
