Aloha, Be sure to mark your calendars for the 33rd Chef Shangri-La Anniversary Celebration being held on Saturday evening July 25th and Sunday afternoon 26th, featuring a fantastic line up of Free entertainment throughout the weekend. Saturday we have the mesmerizing surf sounds of the Cocktail Preachers at 7pm and the pounding rhythms of Go!Tsunami at 9pm. We will also be moving the monthly FREE raffle to Saturday between acts. On Sunday doors open at noon with the return of the “Shopping Bazaar”, featuring carvers, artists, and vintage vendors. Entertainment for Sunday will be the Hapa Haole sounds of the Bikini beachcombers at 2pm, followed by the space age bachelor pad groove of the Astronauts at 4pm. The Chef will be offering food and drink specials throughout the weekend as well as a Hawaiian Style pig roast on Sunday afternoon. So come on out, bring the family, and join in the fun and frolic! Mahalo, Chef Shangri-La P.S.Even though this is still 2 months away we wanted to post it now so you out-of-towners can make a weekend trip to the Windy City to join in the good times.:D The Write Inn The Carleton of Oak Park Extended Stay America in Hillside There is also a recently remodeled Rodeway Inn located about 3 miles away in Lyons that's only $57.00 a nite, although we can't vouch for the place.
