I stayed at said Rodeway Inn for the LSJ/SCOTS show and awoke unslain. The inherent aroma complained about on Trip Advisor was not present in my room (which actually smelled like a bar of soap). Though I can't vouch for the whole place, I can for room #16.

Don't expect the Four Seasons...but for $57, t'was worth it (and no, I don't work for the Rodeway Inn).

Here's the flyer for the Event...

Like the sign says, admission if FREE, so bring the whole family! :D

gonna be a good time!

..i also picked up a few things to contribute to the raffles as well....

this event is a great way to not only support a vintage establishment like the chef but to also mingle with other local ohana and show support for the areas tiki scene....this is one of the best yearly local events that happens here (and we don't have many, unfortunately), so don't miss out on it!!

A QUICK NOTE ABOUT THIS WEEKENDS EVENT:

Just wanted to mention that the Chef event is all INDOORS.......we may have a bit of rain on and off this weekend but don't let it deter you from coming out to celebrate......the bands will be set up by the koi pond as usual and the shopping bazaar vendors will be taking over the bar area on sunday......see ya there!!

thanks to all that came out to support suzie and the chef shangri-la this weekend !! hope you had as much fun as we did....and thanks to the bands for coming out and playing such great sets and all the vendors too !!....this year was one of the best!!....the drink special (buy one, get the second one for .33 cents) was insane but kept the place jumpin....and a big thanks to all of you that came out to shop in the shopping bazaar....I think all the vendors did well this year......

On behalf of Suzy and the staff at the Chef we'd like to thank everyone who made it out this past weekend, what a fantastic time!

The Chef had a banner crowd on Saturday night, Suzie was more than pleased with the turnout, although as Tipsy mentioned, having that 33 cent second drink really backed em up in the bar. The Cocktail Preachers did an awesome set as a 3 piece with Phil and Steve switchin' off bass and guitar in a couple of songs, & Phil even played a foot theramin!!! Go ! Tsunami absolutely rocked the house with hits from their brand new CD "New Wave Order".( These 2 bands will also be playing together at Festiki in Dayton, OH http://festiki.surfohio.com/ )

Sunday was a blast as well. Thanx to all that stopped by and especially those folks who made purchases from our fabulous vendors. The new and improved 5 piece version of the Bikini Beachcombers performed a stellar set of Hapa Haole hits accompanied by their lovely Hula Dancer. The Sunday afternoon festivties concluded with the groovy sounds of the Astronauts.

The free raffles went over well as did the free pig roast each day!

We'll try to post up photos in the next day or so. We didn't get to take many pics cuz we waz too busy havin' fun, so if anyone has pics please post them here.

Thanx Again,

D&C

Here' a bunch of photos from the event...
