Well our usual (yet strangely unusual) bass player, Kiwini Hekili Hoku, is about to become a new father this week. We congratulate him, but it means he'll be missing out on the fabulous Lava Lounge show this Thursday August 7. Fear not, we have exciting news! John Hatton, who rounds out the rhythm section of The Brian Setzer Orchestra will be filling in, giving The Maikai Gents Featuring The Mysterious Miss Mauna Loa a bit of that upright-bass zing! What a night this is going to be and all I can say is, Don't Miss This! See you Thursday. -Iuka Grogg
