Regardless of whether a place is a tiki establishment or not, I will never understand why a company will spend millions to set up a restaurant/bar and then fail to teach bartenders how to make drinks, fail to train waitstaff and then fail to have decent food. Its like they want the business to be a disaster from the start. I mean, its not hard to tell someone how to make a drink, take an order or tell the cook to try something else. You can do that for free! It would take 5 minutes to tell the bartender how to make a mai tai. I say this after having worked in several restuarants in my day.
