"Twitter = email for twits." I think the name for Twitter came directly from the word "twitter" which has it's main association with the sound a bird makes. There is a lot of bird imagery on Twitter so I doubt the name is taken from "email for twits." If it had been based on "email for twits" it would probably have been something like "twitmail." |
