The Polynesian in Torrance was were my Parents used to take me as a kid, I was stoked even as a 5 tear old, It was there that I first saw and understood ambiance.

Then the amount of time spent at Bali Hai on a bar stool drinking Virgin Mai Tai's watching my folks get sloshed cannot be measured. Funny the Tiki stuck but the Alcoholism passed me up.

My current favorite is a little dive in Ventura County, it's not open often but when it is, it's hoppin'
