So for kicks & giggles I bought a 200ml (roughly a half pint) of Bacardi Select when I was picking up some Senior Orange Curaçao last week. Well last night I used the Select in a Navy Grog in place of my go to demerara and I reluctantly have to admit that it was damn tasty. While not quite as deep and complex as my usual El Dorado 5year, the Select was nonetheless very good indeed. I think that I might use Select in place of demerara in an pinch (like when I'm out of demerara and waiting for another shipment from Sam's Wine & Spirits), or when I'm making drinks for a large party where cost is a concern. Just my two cents.
