Queen Kamehameha: You perfectly summed up my sentiments. It was very clear to those in line who was a part of the party prep and help. The problem was as you so well stated, people who were in no way a part of the party crew or even knew who the party crew were. Everyone knew what a great party this was going to be. Some on this thread have stated quite correctly that the party hosts can let whoever they went in. That is not and was not my complaint or concern. My concern is that many of our fellow tikiphiles drunkenly and rudely cut the line with an aire of superiority that is so well unleashed by drinking. It was very evident to those of us who chose to go to this party over others that were occurring at the same time that these rude gate crashers neigher cared for what you were doing or honored your guests in line. Your party was the best. You set the bar so high. What a great event. I hope you know none of my critiscim was direct toward your efforts and graciousness as a host. As I said, it was evident that the gate crashers were separate and my concerns were directed toward them. To those reading this post, please get it right. Rude people not associated with a room party host are a real downer. When going to an "open" party, please remember it is not "all about you". |
