It's awful. It looks like someone gathered up all the Nightmare crap they could find from a Spencer's gift store, loaded it into a truck, then dumped it all over the interior of the Haunted Mansion. So in that respect, yes, we're purists. Too bad they couldn't do an updated version of my childhood favorite, Adventures Thru Inner Space. I guess we'll have to wait for a movie version of it or a remake of "Innerspace" starring Zach Ephron before a ride is even considered.
