I enjoyed both places because they were reasonably close to metropolitan places (like Trader Vics, Forbidden Island, etc), but still felt secluded and community-oriented. Depending on where you'll be heading off to work (and at what hour), though, you might run into some traffic on your driving commute (as neither are super connected to BART, our metro-train system).
