Oh, and for you Canadians, I also 'met' Captain Highliner... in fact, I picked him. Let me explain. I wrote some Captain Highliner ads a few years ago. We had to cast a new 'Captain' cause the old 'Captain' died, and the guy they used in the meantime for the picture on the fish stick box had a weird high voice that we couldn't use on TV... so we had to find a new Captain.

(For you Americans, it is kind of like the equivlaent of you being in charge of finding the new colonel Sanders... I mean, I grew up watching and mimicking Highliner commercials, it is part of pop culture here... (Ever been to sea Billy?) and all of a sudden I have to pick a new one and write his lines!)

Anyway, we found a guy. And the old 'box' Captain got pissed. And also, if you watch TV closely, you will notice that Captain Highliner also moonlights as the Man from Glad. We had to put a fake beard on him.
I tried for ages to get through a script that involved 'Billy' all grown up and coming back to haunt the captain but Highliner was just too scared of the paedophilic overtones and jokes to go there...

Anyway, I think I have thouroughly blown my work confidentiality agreement, but there you have it. I thought the canucks would be amused.

For the resy of yas, this is all nonsense...

'Arrr... Ever been to sea, Billy?'
'No, But I've been blown ashore a few times!'
