When I was young, a close friend of the family was a dancer with Le Polynesia, a Polynesian dance troupe based in Southern California. Every other weekend, my sister and I went to luaus, enjoying the sights and sounds of our talented friends. Those enchanted nights laid the foundation for what was to become an obsession! In addition to collecting and visiting tiki locations, I also dig Disneyland, Science Fiction ("Battlestar Galactica" and "Star Trek" are my two faves), vintage clothing, records, and booze.
