I love the Hei Matua. Especially the way you balance the cord bindings and incorporate them as part of the design. It really gives your pieces a lot of mana. The tiki is cute, darned cute. That facial expression had me feeling "sunny" as soon as I looked at it. This carving has sunshine in its soul, no doubt about it. The self-contained stance adds a feeling of good-natured serenity as well. A great result, especially for a first try. Aloha! Marcus |
