Marais & Miranda were home-based in Hollywood, CA. Joseph Marais had lived in Capetown for a while. His field studies of original African music resulted in a unique adaption with a mix of English and African lyrics that he sang in duet with Miranda. Best represented on their album Go Native, that was recorded at the BBC studios in London.
