Not being cyber-cool I came across The Rules of the Internet via Know Your Meme. (They have a short list. A longer list is out there if you want it...Find it yourself.)

A lot of the "rules" are definitely inside geekball stuff. The longer list gets crass and/or extremely stoopid (Or so I think...But y'know, I ain't so cool.)

A few of them seem to be true wherever you go online. And those I share with you now...

**There are no real rules about posting.

All your carefully picked arguments can easily be ignored.

Anything you say can and will be used against you.

Anything you say can be turned into something else.

Do not argue with trolls, it means that they win.

The harder you try, the harder you will fail.

The more you hate it, the stronger it gets.

Relation to the original topic decreases with every single post.

Any topic can be turned into something totally unrelated.

What you click isn't always what you get.

The louder you scream at people the harder someone else will laugh. **

And finally, one I have believed for a very very long time:

Nothing is to be taken seriously.
