Mahalos for stopping by. Contrary to what an initial viewing reaction may be, i do have reverence for the art, folklore, religion and cultural traditions of the Polynesian Islands. The "tikis" in my art are meant to represent the male ID, to convey the pure visceral rush of "stoke", or "lust for life". Please enjoy "Ruby's Dilemma", Acrylic on canvas. 18 X 24(ish). Inspired by the intoxicating Miss Monica Renee (ne: Ruby Devore). "Zombie Tiki", inspired by the Tiki Oasis 2008 Theme. 30 X 48", acrylic on Canvas. "Barrels or Bust", 17 X 23", Acrylic on Driftwood. i painted on bare wood and finished with satin varnish to retain an earthy finish on this one. "Last Rezort", 20 X 24", Acrylic on board. A "companion" (bookend?) painting to my "Ruby's Dilemma" painting. "Da Hui", 12 X 12", acrylic on Canvas. Not so much 'lowbrow' as 'unibrow' art [ Edited by: bigtoe 2010-05-10 15:25 ] |
