As far as the Duke Kamoku recording goes....no specfic artists are listed, but it sounds like Freddie Tavares & steel playing, like singing, is very distinctive. You can generally pick someone out in just a few notes. Also, two of the songs were "unknowns" written by Ernest Tavares, so it's pretty likely those were put on the LP to "help out" royalties for the 'ohana. |
