Maybe they need to be lined with a good coat of polyester resin? Hope the event provides the impetus they need to get them going. If not, dry ice would act like water if placed in the niches for the evening..... Making an offering to the waterfall gods in hopes they are successful. Regardless of whether the inside fountain is on or not it will be a fabulous event, and hats off to the folks who have worked so hard to bring it about.
