This was a great treat for me to carve, and the design evolved as I made it. It's awesome piece to me as well, since it's one of those projects that "just happens". These types of pieces are too few and far between to be sure, regardless of the medium. I am definitely feeling the pressure to create more stuff for Hukilau (only 3 weekends left!). I kind of mocked-up a 10x10 space to see how things would look, and all I could think was, "That's it!?" I hate having to sleep, eat, and go to work...
