Here's my advice. If you have a television, get rid of it. Use the time you usually spend watching TV and take a walk, or go running, or join a gym. The average American spends 2.8 hours each day watching TV. Build muscle mass, speed up your metabolism, burn the calories and then you can eat whatever you want (but avoid junk food) and drink 1-2 alcoholic beverage each day.

I haven't had a TV in 15 years and I'm in better shape now than when I was 15 years ago.

TV is a big waste of time anyway.
