Wendy It was time to test fire the kiln. I made clay holders for the cones. I put in cones for 03, 04, 05, 06 and 07. They all should bend or melt except the 03 with takes a higher temperature. We were worried about the floor getting too hot. It didn't melt but when I touched it I got burnt. We will look for something flame proof to put there. The test fire took 7.5 hours. I have begun to fine tune each mug. I started with #50 since the mold gets worse with use. Right now it take 30 to 45 minutes to make one mug acceptable. It's only the lettering that needs help. As I get to lower numbers it will go faster. Dan keeps me company and it's still a very fun project.
