I say how about you all DON"T drink and drive and then these checkpoints are just a time waster for you instead of something else.

7 years ago I was hit by a drunk driver at 8pm on a Friday night. I had to be cut from my car and it was the most traumatic thing that has ever happened to me and my family.

Thankfully I survived but I still have pain from that night.

If you are going out to inbibe take a cab number with you.

Or do what some people do and buy a breathalizer kit..before you leave from the bar blow to see if you are ok to do so.
You would be surprised at how that is actually a life saver.

Please.
