Dude, I am touched by your story, I remember when my girlfriend lost her favorite ring while we were "hanging out" on the beach, and we went back the next day to search, but no luck. So, I'd like to offer you one of my tiki necklaces as a gift to a fellow surfer. Towards the bottom of my first post on this link, there are some necklaces. Let me know which one you like, and I'll send one to you.

Hey man, that's awfully nice of you, and I appreciate the thought. Your work is damn fine stuff and I'd be more than proud to hang one of those on my chest.

I don't get to the water as often as I did in the past, and my old charm always kept me feeling connected, you know?

Anyway, thanks for the offer, it's a real righteous thing to do. I'll peruse your stuff and get back to you.

Thanks for the comments all. I just needed to tell the tale to someone who would get it. To most folks it was just a rinky dink charm, to me it was special.
