OK class, turn to page 47 of your text books, the Book of Tiki:

"...Together, with the signature Tiki of Stephen Crane's Luau, it actually marks the beginning of Tiki Style. For the first time, a Tiki was employed as a logo, serving as an entrance gaurdian, apperaring as an icon on the menu and matchbooks, and assuming the form of mugs and salt and pepper shakers."
