Mahalos Benzart, 4WDtiki and LaoJia, The wood is African Mahogany and is a real pleasure to work after carving that stone like Monkey Pod (albizia saman) and burled Mango. I bought the wood and I usualy prefer free Maui grown material but there is something to be said for kiln dried wood. Mahalos for looking I'll post some more shots after it's finished.
