Where I live, HIPs (and Coco Joe's) are fairly common in thrift stores and are seldom more than a few bucks, so for me, I'd say no, it's not worth it. Maybe you don't have the time or inclination to do any thrifting, or maybe where you live this kind of stuff is harder to find, so for you it may be worth it. I'd say 5 bucks is not an outrageous price for a HIP or CJ piece, and they're pretty hefty (the older ones, especially), so they're not going to be cheap to ship.
