Great seeing all the old and new tiki friends. But I thought one of the coolest parts of the weekend was Saturday night in the bar, when we were paid a visit by Spike. He is the head of the Newberry Springs property owners' association. I am so gun shy after living among the litigious members of the Bermuda Dunes community that I thought he was there to complain about the noise. Instead, he was thrilled with everything, specially a chance to talk with Sven, and receive a copy of his Book of Tiki (autographed of course). The next day Sven, Naomi, Amy, Ben and Vicky visited Spike's ranch. I am told he was the perfect host and was thrilled they came. GOOD STUFF!!

3 Rules for a happy life:

Never eat at a place called "Moms"
Never play cards with a guy named "Doc"
Never throw Albert Pujols a fast ball when you're behind in the count.
