I hate to enter into a political discussion, but since were talking about rum I think an outdated and unnecessary law such as the Cuba embargo should be broken. The government would be wise to change the law now that fine rum is popular again (increased liquor tax revenue!).

I agree, my family's been in Key West for 25-30 years and the embargo has been in place for just over 40. I hate El Bigote (the bearded one), but the embargo has not done a damn thing! I think a full scale US tourist invasion would probably do the trick though. Because money talks and..........well you know the rest. :wink:

BTW the rum in the Philippines was exceptional and stupid cheap! Five year old Tanduay was a dollar a bottle and the 12 year old was only two!
