Oden Fong is mentioned a few times as he was associated with the group (he later got religion and is now a pastor at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa): http://www.finalfrontier.org.uk/index.php?main=13&sub=2&page=30 Since I grew up in South Orange county, I remember driving past the Laguna Beach hippies who would congregate outside Taco Bell (sometimes on our way from family brunch at the Outrigger or dining at Royal Hawaiian) so even though I was too young to know the real details, the above mentioned book answered a lot of questions.
