Hey all,
Some of the Tiki Central ohana probably know I am a Kustom/classic car guy. For TC ohana who don't know, SEMA is the Specialty Equipment Marketers Association (http://www.sema.org/). SAN is the SEMA Action Network. SAN is SEMA's organization that stands up for the car and motorcycle hobby in front of congress and represents the needs in support of all of us when it comes to all things automotive. This even includes stock late and early model cars, average cars and motorcycles, not just customized or collector vehicles. Most importantly to me these days is that some factions of the government want to get classic, antique and collectible cars off the road by making them considered a detriment to our environment. When petitions are submitted or representation is brought to Congress, the numbers behind SAN make a difference. You can read more about SAN and what they are doing for us in each of your states here http://www.semasan.com/san/join.aspx. SAN does not cost anything to join and they do not send spam emails. They send an update once or twice a month about what they have done for us. There currently is a membership drive in progress that ends on September 1st, 2011.

So...I am trying to win a trip to the SEMA 2011 show in Las Vegas. Only people in the manufacturing industry normally get to go to this show. To do so, I must be the person to generate the most new members during the membership drive. This is my attempt to do so. Please join this great organization for me. I urge you to join if you have any care about what Congress does to the fuel that goes into our classic and new cars and bikes. Or if you want to stop bills from getting passed to make it mandatory to turn in your old clunker (aka classic, vintage or antique) car because they are seen as junk on the roads.

It's FREE to join SAN. Gotta sign up before or by September 1st, 2011 so don't wait until then! Registration of new members under the Challenge can only be made at http://www.semasan.com/san/join.aspx and you must make sure that you mention my full name in the “please specify” portion of the on-line registration form under “How Did You Hear About SAN?” Without this information, you as new members will not be considered (or recorded to my credit) as part of this Challenge. Therefore, I wouldn't get credit for signing you up. If you would rather, you can PM me with your consent for me to sign you up and provide your name, street address and email, I will sign you up. How much easier can that be? If you are already a member, way kool.

I am currently in 2nd place to win. The first place person is about 120 members ahead of me...So, please join and ask your family to join in support of SAN (did I mention it doesn't cost a penny?) and also my selfish desire to win a trip to the SEMA show this year. Send this message to all of your pals and automotive hobbyests too. Hit me back if you sign up so I can keep track of who signed up in case there is a question about who and how many members I was able to hook up to this outstanding organization. Oh...yeah...it's free...If you want to unsubscribe, just wait until the beginning of next year to quit and you are off the hook.
