I really like his style and light & dark contrast. Tikisgrl...value is always difficult. Any painting of a male subject will not fetch as much as a female (especially topless or nude and more with flower or lei). Someone may correct me but I think the original Davis Gallery authorized copies were done in Japan. Look to see if it says Japan a little lower on the painting near the edge of the frame. I believe that later copies not marked Japan were done in the Philippines. Hina Rapa always seems to get the most money whether original or not.
