After I got my post up, I was ready to play with the clay! I need a Mauna Loa Mug for my new Tiki Island;
Taking shapes, just getting a feel for the forms that I want.
Sizing up the Mug, I hollowed this mug first then pinched and tooled where my ridges where to go, I think it would have been easier to work the outside of my cylinder and then hollow it out. I will try that on the next one.
Bird is too big, so I use tools to cut him away to get the right proportion.
Need to cut him down some more!

After a little break, it's getting there. Almost ready to join a few others on Tiki Mug Island.
