Thanks for the comments guys, it's nice to get a response. Tigertail although I don't know much about glazes this is actually colored glass powder that you mix with a binder (in this case I just used aloe vera because it burns off cleanly and is readily available) to get a play-doh type clay. You can get any color you can imagine in opal or transparent and once formed you fire it in a kiln. I'm still experimenting trying to get temps and timing down. My first batch melted beyond recognition. Wendy you are right and my next ones will have room at the top to drill a hole for a necklace. Looking forward to meeting you at Tiki Caliente 4.
