Distilling rum - Tiki Drinks and Food

Not actually, of course, because that would be illegal. I've been scouring books, google books, books from ebay, and have yet to find a decent rum recipe. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've done a ton of homebrew beer, and was curious about the recipes for different boozes. I've also made my own syrups/liquors, kaluha, and a few others, but rum escapes me.
