As for what anybody likes; that is their business, but take it from the mouth of a 20-year veteran antique dealer...valuewise the vintage mugs will skyrocket, while the "limited edition" and/or new mugs will eventually tank, guaranteed. It happened to "limited edition" baseball cards. It happened to limited edition dolls. It happened to "new" Roseville. It happened to Captain Action and G.I. Joe re-issues. It happened to limited reissue model kits. It happened to the dreaded Beanie Babies. It happened to so-called "collector plates. It happened to limited edition guitars...the list goes on and on. Tanked. All of them. I mean like bad. I can't stress it enough....Buy original vintage stuff in good condition if you care about your collection being worth a poot in five or ten years and you will never regret it. With few exceptions (Keith Haring Swatches maybe?)today's hot artist will be tomorrow's nobody. It's just a fact.
