Double box your item. Tape the sides as well as the folds in the box. I WILL ADD (JMHO) 5. Use Fedex or UPS, they are kinder to packages than the Post Office, plus they will pick up at your home so you don't need to lug it around to get it on the move. 6. Use a permanent black marker to address the package. 7. Pack it full of love...items will settle so fill all the empty spaces in the box. 8. Insure as appropriate.
