I built several tree houses as a kid and loved just hanging around in the highest branches I could find. That love of climbing trees turned into rocks when I was 10 years old. Once I was able to drive a car, my transportation woes were solved and I travelled to Yosemite (CA), Smith Rock (OR), Red Rocks (NV), Joshua Tree(CA), Idylwild (CA), Grand Canyon, and all over San Diego County. One of the longest routes I did was 1300 feet high and took me more that 5 hours. That was a good day. Sometime within my active climbing years a freind of mine asked me "what are you some kinda monkey...man"?
