We do get snow in Orange County -- usually just a rare light dusting on the upper reaches of the Santa Ana Mountains. (And just to clarify, the iconic double-peak is called Old Saddleback, with the taller side being Santiago Peak and the shorter being Modjeska Peak.) That said, we haven't had a good snowfall that blanketed the whole county since 1949. So save the money you would have spent on snow shoes and go buy more Hawaiian shirts instead.
