Went to the Detroit public library on the weekend (the main one) and went through the old Microfilm files to find a newspaper article from 1967 on the Mauna Loa. I didn't know there was one, per se, I was just taking a stab in the dark, searching all the Sunday papers around August 67 for some sort of review (I knew it opened sometime around then, but could have been a couple months off). Anyway, after zipping through thousands of articles ('The dangers of LSD!' 'Castro's Cuba' 'Dog enjoys swimming!') and lots of ads ('Hudson's presents The wow look, the NOW look!') I found a nice big fat Sunday Supplement article on the Mauna Loa. Printed that baby off toot suite. It will be going up on Tikifish.com along with everything else you ever needed to know about the Mauna Loa... I will inform you all when it's up.
